Protecting Your Investment
We strongly recommend securing an insurance policy for your ring to ensure it can be repaired or replaced if needed. Fine jewelry, even when expertly crafted, can be delicate and susceptible to accidental bumps during daily wear.
Please note that The Gem Concierge is not responsible for items that are lost or stolen.
Jewelry Care & Maintenance
At The Gem Concierge, we offer lifetime cleaning and polishing services to keep your jewelry looking as brilliant as the day you received it. Regular professional maintenance ensures your pieces remain in optimal condition.
For at-home care, we recommend cleaning your fine jewelry with a gentle toothbrush and soapy water to restore its sparkle. However, we advise against using ultrasonic cleaners regularly, as they can loosen or dislodge diamonds, particularly small pavé stones. Additionally, ultrasonic cleaners should not be used on softer gemstones such as opals, emeralds, topaz, and pearls, as they may cause damage.
For clients located outside the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), please note that shipping costs are not included if you are unable to arrange an in-person pickup. We are happy to assist with coordinating the best solution for your needs.
Engagement and Wedding Band Warranty
At The Gem Concierge, we take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our pieces. That's why we offer a complimentary lifetime warranty on all custom engagement and bridal rings. This warranty covers any manufacturing defects, including:
- Loose stones or prongs
- Missing pavé stones
However, this warranty does not cover everyday wear and tear, such as:
- Scratches and dents
- Misshapen bands
- Cracked or missing centre stones
- Lost or stolen rings
If you experience any issues with your engagement ring or wedding band, please reach out to your design specialist or email us at care@thegemconcierge.com to start the repair process.
Important: Any modifications or repairs performed by a jeweler outside of The Gem Concierge will void this warranty.
Fine Jewelry Warranty
We are committed to delivering high-quality pieces and ensure they arrive in perfect condition. If your item arrives with a defect, please contact our Customer Care team at care@thegemconcierge.com for prompt assistance as soon as possible.
Our Fine Jewelry warranty applies to all fine jewelry purchases for up to three years and covers manufacturing defects including:
- Loose stones or prongs
- Missing pavé stones
- Broken clasps
During the three-year warranty, we will repair any manufacturing defects at no cost providing that a proper inspection confirms the issue is due to a manufacturing flaw. If the issue stems from normal wear and tear, a repair fee will be determined based on our assessment.
After three years, we are happy to assist with repairs and will provide a quote on a case-by-case basis after professional assessment.
Please note: This warranty does not cover damage from regular use, including:
- Scratches and dents
- Stretched or kinked chains
- Misshapen bands
- Cracked or missing centre stones
- Resizing, lost, or stolen pieces
Maintaining Your Warranty
Most jewelers have specific guidelines to maintain a warranty, and The Gem Concierge is no exception. Having your engagement ring or fine jewelry piece serviced by an outside jeweler will void your coverage. Our expert team is here to fine-tune and adjust your jewelry with precision and care.
